Reading this with my editor hat off and some distance---I love it so much.
You're a great storyteller, my friend. I'm so impressed with you.
The phrase "rent a nonna" makes me laugh. I'll always think of this story when I think of nonnas. You've ruined my image of them in the best way hahaha
Reading this brought a smile to my face, because it reminded of those days when you were helping me edit this, and made me realize that for me, the phrase will now be forever tied to that great experience of writing alongside you.
And you kind comments are the other reason for my smile :))
I'm so glad to have read this after reading Gallipoli to Tropea. I could picture this like a movie, and it's so enjoyable to see your fiction writing skills shine.
My partner and I did an Airbnb cooking experience in Florence. We made and ate pasta with a couple from Russia and another from Puerto Rico. Fortunately, we weren't drugged with mysterious mushrooms!
Awesome story Oscar. I'm catching up on my newsletters and it's great to see that you're pivoting into fiction. You're a natural. Keep at it!
Thank you for compliments Jon!! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Loved this Oscar!! Hooked the whole way. Well done!
Thank you Rick! Means a lot coming from the master storyteller himself :)
Hahahaha wow what a roller coaster ride this was!
LOL THE FIAT PANDA!!!! Haha loved the cinematic read as always ❤️
😂😂 Loved you picked up on that, had lots of fun writing that part. Thank you Vicky!!

I can't believe that was a month ago, too.
Insane. I'm gonna reread this again lol
We will write alongside each other again!!!!
Yep--it still holds up.
"So, Francesca, what do you think about Leonardo da Vinci?"
I don't know, but this time, this line really made me laugh. Haha.
😂😂😂 Glad to hear that! This keeps on being a fountain of joy haha
"They’re like small criss-cut fries." 😂

Thank you for your comments Rachael, the highest praise I can get :))
Awesome read and story, Oscar. Absolutely loved it. And the italy-ness of it is intact and coming across clear and strong. Beautiful!
Grazie mille Silvio! Means a lot coming from the master Italian himself :)
This was such a fun read Oscar, I loved the way this story turned out! I would want to do this AirBNB experience except...maybe not the truffles 😂
😂😂😂 Please not the truffles! Thank you Michelle!!
